NGCA Regional #4

Cheers to 2023!! To kick the day off, we bring you the big blind draw first to have some fun and a chance to get the nerves out of the way before the competition gets serious; this will count for regional OPEN doubles points and be the highest payout event at 90%! For singles, you must play in the division listed on your ACL profile or higher. For doubles, one partner will register and pay for the team. The doubles division is played to the highest level of each player. For example, if a competitive player and intermediate player want to play together, that team must play competitive. Online registration is HIGHLY preferred. Walk-up registration will be a charge of an additional $5/per player per event! Silverbacks Indoors offers memberships that will give you free entry as well as food and drink specials; if you are NOT a Silverbacks member, you must pay a $2 cash fee at the door. Singles and doubles brackets will be seeded beginning in November 2022. Sit-N-Go blind draws (cash only, local points) will be ran throughout the tournament as boards are available. For our special event of the month, we are offering a senior’s singles tournament that will count for local points!
SCHEDULE
Saturday, January 28th, 2023
Doors open at 8:00 am.
Big blind draw starts at 9:00 am.
Senior’s singles will begin around 10:30 am (local points).
Singles will begin as soon as the blind draw concludes (tentatively but not guaranteed at 12 pm).
Doubles will begin as soon as singles concludes (tentatively but not guaranteed at 6:00 pm).
DIVISIONS/SKILL LEVELS
Regional and/or state directors reserve the right to move your skill level up based on performance statistics and regional tournament finishes. If your skill level needs to be moved down, you must give advance notice to your regional director to make the change effective prior to the start of the regional tournament.
Open (No PPR Range)
Advanced (PPR Range > 8.2)
Competitive (PPR Range 7.2-8.2)
Intermediate (PPR Range 6.2-7.2)
ENTRY FEES & PAYOUTS
Big Open Blind Draw – $25/player, 90% payout
Senior’s Singles – $15/player, 100% payout
Open Singles – $25/player, 80% payout
Competitive Singles – $25/player, 65% payout
Intermediate Singles – $20/player, 50% payout
Open Doubles – $50/team, 80% payout
Competitive Doubles – $50/team, 65% payout
Intermediate Doubles – $40/team, 50% payout
NOTE: The prices listed above include the $10 discount for GOLD and PLATINUM members. All other members will be required to pay an additional $10 for each event. You MUST be an ACL member to participate in any and all ACL events. Memberships range from $0-$100 and can be purchased through the ACL site or directly through Korey Harkins. $5 from each entry fee per player will be deducted from the payout percentage to help cover the venue fee!
PLAQUES
Champion plaques will be awarded to the champions for each tournament (excluding intermediate). Try your chance to be the NGCA “Player of the Year” by collecting the most plaques. This player will receive a cash sponsorship to attend the ACL World Championships in August 2023!
PLEASE BE AWARE
Absolutely no outside alcoholic beverages allowed at this venue. NGCA is implementing a zero tolerance policy on this. If you are caught bringing in any alcoholic beverages not purchased from Bananas Bar & Grill, you will be disqualified from the tournament and asked to leave with no refund. Please be respectful of our venue and this policy as they could lose their license if outside alcohol is brought into their place of business.
